Our Authenticity Guarantee

Every product sold on Vorigon.com is:

  • 100% genuine — supplied by the brand owner, its appointed UK distributor, or an authorised wholesale partner
  • Brand new — never used, never refurbished, never ex-display and never customer-returned, unless a listing is explicitly marked otherwise
  • Full UK specification — 230V/50Hz electrics, UK three-pin plugs, UK-compliant safety guards and English-language manuals
  • Fully warranted — covered by the manufacturer warranty set out on our Warranty & Replacement page
  • Traceable — every unit carries its original serial number, rating plate, batch code and safety markings

We have never knowingly sold a counterfeit, replica, grey-import or parallel-import product, and we never will.

Where Our Stock Comes From

Vorigon buys directly from manufacturers and from their appointed UK distributors under written supply agreements. We do not buy from online marketplaces, auction sites, liquidation lots, container clearances, unverified overseas wholesalers or third-party resellers. Every consignment is booked in against the supplier’s commercial invoice and packing list before it goes on sale.

What We Check Before Anything Is Listed

  1. Supplier verification — company registration, VAT status, distribution agreement and trading history
  2. Documentation — commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of conformity for every consignment
  3. Compliance marking — UKCA and, where applicable, CE marking on the product and the rating plate
  4. Safety documentation — declaration of conformity, noise and vibration data, and the English-language manual
  5. Physical inspection — packaging, seals, serial numbers, labelling and print quality checked on arrival at our warehouse
  6. Pre-dispatch check — box condition, contents and accessories confirmed against the specification before packing

Product Safety and Compliance

All machinery sold by Vorigon is intended for the UK market and meets the applicable requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008, the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 and the General Product Safety Regulations 2005. Products carry UKCA and/or CE marking, a permanent rating plate and English-language safety instructions. Battery-powered products are supplied with UK-plug chargers; we do not sell products requiring a travel adaptor.

If you ever receive an item without the correct marking, plug type or English manual, stop using it, contact us immediately at info@vorigon.com, and we will collect it and replace or refund it in full at no cost to you.

Why Buying From an Authorised Source Matters

Counterfeit and grey-import garden machinery is a genuine problem in the UK market, and the consequences are not trivial:

  • Warranty: manufacturers will not honour a warranty on a unit that was never supplied through their UK channel
  • Safety: counterfeit machines routinely fail on guards, blade retention, insulation, overload protection and battery cell quality
  • Parts: service parts for grey imports often do not fit, and dealers cannot order them against the serial number
  • Support: the brand’s UK helpline cannot assist with a unit that does not appear in its system
  • Insurance: a fire or injury caused by non-compliant equipment can affect a household insurance claim

Verifying Your Purchase

Every Vorigon order comes with an order confirmation email, a VAT invoice and a dispatch confirmation containing tracking. Keep these; together they are your proof of purchase for warranty and for any manufacturer registration.

If you want to confirm a product’s authenticity, email info@vorigon.com with your order number and a photograph of the rating plate showing the model and serial number. We will confirm the supply chain for that specific unit within 2 business days.

Products Bought Elsewhere

Vorigon can only support products it supplied. We cannot process warranty claims, returns, refunds or replacements for items bought from another retailer, marketplace seller or auction site — even if the same model appears in our catalogue. Please contact the seller you bought from, or the manufacturer’s UK service network.

Reporting a Counterfeit

If you believe a product sold as Vorigon stock is not genuine, or if you find a website or marketplace listing using our name, branding or product images without authorisation, please tell us. Email info@vorigon.com with “Authenticity Report” in the subject line, including the listing URL or seller name and any photographs you have.

Vorigon products are sold only through Vorigon.com. We do not operate shops on third-party marketplaces, and we do not authorise any other website to resell our stock under our name. Approved trade and wholesale relationships are handled directly through our Business Inquiries page.

Brand Names and Trademarks

Brand names, logos and model designations shown on Vorigon.com belong to their respective owners and are used to identify the products we sell. Their use does not imply that Vorigon is the manufacturer, or that the brand owner endorses Vorigon beyond the supply relationships described above. Our own name, logo and site content are covered by the intellectual property terms in our Terms of Service.
