Every machine sold by Vorigon is covered by a manufacturer-backed warranty. This page explains how long the warranty lasts, exactly what it covers, what it does not cover, and how to make a claim. Warranty cover is in addition to your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 — it never replaces or reduces them.

Warranty Duration

Product Type Warranty Period Cover
Walk-Behind Lawn Mowers 12 months Parts and labour
Ride-On Lawn Mowers 24 months Parts and labour
Robotic Lawn Mowers 24 months Parts and labour (base station and boundary wire included)
Pressure Washers 12 months Parts and labour (pump, motor, hose reel)
Multi-Tool Garden Machines 12 months Parts and labour (power head and attachments)
Mini Chainsaws 12 months Parts and labour (motor and drive assembly)
Hedge Trimmers 12 months Parts and labour (motor and gearbox)
Grass Trimmers & Garden Cutters 12 months Parts and labour
Tool Storage Cabinets 24 months Structure, welds, paint finish, drawer slides and locks
Batteries and chargers (all categories) 6 months Manufacturing defects and premature capacity failure
Accessories and attachments sold separately 90 days Manufacturing defects

The warranty period starts on the date of delivery, not the date of purchase. Where a product page states a longer manufacturer warranty than the table above, the longer period applies. Warranty cover applies to domestic and private household use. Commercial, hire, contract, agricultural and continuous professional use is covered for 90 days on all categories unless the product page says otherwise.

What’s Covered

The warranty covers failures caused by defective materials or workmanship, including:

  • Electric motors, brushless motor assemblies and petrol engine internal components
  • Gearboxes, drive belts, transmissions and clutch assemblies that fail under normal use
  • Pressure washer pumps, unloader valves, hoses and internal seals
  • Robotic mower control boards, navigation sensors, drive wheels, docking stations and boundary systems
  • Wiring looms, switches, triggers, safety cut-outs and control panels
  • Battery packs and chargers that fail or lose capacity abnormally within the battery warranty period
  • Structural welds, frames, chassis, decks and handle assemblies
  • Cabinet drawer slides, locking mechanisms, castors and paint or powder-coat finish failure such as blistering or flaking that is not caused by impact
  • Parts that arrive missing, broken or incorrectly manufactured

Where a claim is approved, Vorigon covers the repair, the replacement part, and the collection and redelivery costs. There is no charge to you.

What’s Not Covered

The warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and consumable parts: blades, chains, guide bars, trimmer line, spools, belts, filters, spark plugs, pull cords, brushes, tyres, nozzles, lances, O-rings, seals subject to wear, and paint scratches from ordinary use
  • Routine maintenance: servicing, sharpening, adjustment, cleaning, lubrication, oil changes and seasonal set-up
  • Misuse and accidental damage: impact with stones, roots, walls, fences, kerbs or hidden objects; dropping; overloading; running a mower over gravel; or operating a machine outside its stated specification
  • Incorrect fuel or oil: stale petrol, contaminated fuel, wrong fuel/oil mix ratio, running a four-stroke engine on two-stroke mix, or running an engine without oil
  • Frost and water damage: pressure washer pumps left with water inside during freezing weather, and machines stored outdoors unprotected
  • Incorrect assembly or installation, including failure to follow the instructions in our Assembly & Installation Policy or the manufacturer’s manual
  • Unauthorised repair or modification: work carried out by anyone other than Vorigon or an approved service agent, use of non-genuine parts, removal of guards or safety devices, or engine tuning changes
  • Neglect: failure to carry out the maintenance set out in the manual, such as air filter cleaning, blade sharpening or oil changes
  • Cosmetic wear: fading, minor surface marks, and scratches that do not affect function
  • Consequential loss: loss of time, hire of alternative equipment, lost earnings, damage to lawns, plants or property, or costs incurred while a machine is being repaired
  • Commercial use of a product rated for domestic use, beyond the 90-day commercial period stated above
  • Products purchased from any seller other than Vorigon — see our Authorized Retailer & Authenticity page

Batteries naturally lose some capacity over time. A gradual decline is normal and is not a defect. Sudden failure, refusal to charge, cell imbalance or a rapid capacity drop within the 6-month battery warranty is covered.

How to Make a Warranty Claim

  1. Email info@vorigon.com with “Warranty Claim” in the subject line, or call +44 20 3996 1739.
  2. Include: your order number, the model name, the serial number from the rating plate, the date the fault appeared, a clear description of the problem, and photographs or a short video showing the fault.
  3. Run the quick checks our team suggests. Many reported faults turn out to be a discharged battery, a missing safety key, a clogged filter or stale fuel, and these are solved the same day.
  4. We assess the claim and confirm the outcome within 2 business days of receiving your information.
  5. We arrange the remedy — a replacement part sent to you, a free collection for repair, or a replacement machine.

Keep your order confirmation email. It is your proof of purchase and we can also retrieve it from your order number if you lose it.

Replacement Parts and Repairs

Where the fault can be corrected with a part you can fit safely and easily — a drive belt, a cable, a charger, a docking station, a drawer slide — we send the part free of charge by next-day carrier and provide fitting instructions. Parts usually arrive within 2 to 4 business days.

Where the repair needs a technician, we arrange a free collection, repair the machine at an approved service centre and return it to you. Typical turnaround is 7 to 14 business days from collection, depending on parts availability. We keep you updated at each stage.

When We Replace Instead of Repair

You receive a full replacement rather than a repair when:

  • The fault is reported within 30 days of delivery
  • The machine cannot be economically repaired
  • A repair has already been attempted once and the same fault returns
  • The required part is discontinued or unavailable within a reasonable time

If an identical model is unavailable we offer an equivalent or better model at no extra cost, or a full refund, at your choice. A replacement carries the remainder of the original warranty period plus 90 days, so you are never left with less cover than you started with.

Warranty and Returns Are Different Things

If you simply changed your mind, that is a return, not a warranty claim — see our Refund & Return Policy and Order Cancellation Policy. If the item arrived broken in the box, that is a transit damage claim and must be reported within 48 hours. The warranty covers faults that develop during normal use after delivery.

Transferring the Warranty

The warranty is issued to the original purchaser and is not transferable if you sell the machine. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 also sit with the original purchaser.
